DOES NOT A TEACHER AND A TEACHER'S AIDE HAVE HANDS THAT HEAL?

The young child of 5, terrified of this new world called school, had but one thought as the bus stopped in front of the school, "I want my Mommy!"

The doors opened and a warm loving voice greeted the children, a friendly face with a smile as big as the sky in Heaven, and an outstretched hand welcomed them to a place where soon all the World would become their oyster, a world of wealth of that which would be learned, a world of discovery, of giggles, of creativity, of participation, of laughter, of friendship, of warmth, and yes, a world of love for that which would be, opportunity to learn all that could be learned, safely.

Such an environment do Teachers and Teacher's Aides create with the love in their hearts for that which they desire to do; to teach, to help, to be of assistance to young minds so eager to learn! Are not the hands of those so caring, HEALING HANDS? And if that be so, is not GOD'S HAND at work as well?

An older child struggles with the lesson being taught, becomes upset and scared  that he cannot learn. The Teacher sees the look of fear upon the child's face, approaches, and with confidence and kindness asks the right questions, and gets to the problem. With skill and grace both Teacher and Aide work as one, the lesson learned, the fear now gone, the child laughs, and has some fun! Are not the hands of those so caring, HEALING HANDS? And if that be so, is not GOD'S HAND at work as well?

A group of girls have a love for math and science, often are they excited when the subjects are taught. Dreams of their future do they share, of discovering solutions to complex problems, cures of illnesses yet to be found. But when overheard, constantly are they called nerd. Hurt are they when they need not be, for within them they do know that names are nothing if let not be. A Teacher overheard one such rant, and reminded all of the successes of many a woman in science and math, and how very cool they were to have learned so well in school! Were not the hands of the Teacher HEALING HANDS? And if that be so, is not GOD'S HAND at work as well?

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, DARE TO BE TRUE, DARE TO BE BOLD, DARE TO BE YOU, for YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT!

WE all have HEALING HANDS, and if WE hear that which is within OUR heart, and so choose, so too may OUR hands HEAL? Shall WE begin?
