The newborn infant awakes with a cry, with diaper now full, and belly empty, she longs for the voice that soothes away pain. Her Mother answers and is there in a flash, scoops her up, hugs her, snuggles her face, holds her tight in warm, loving embrace. On the changing table does she lay her, and does the loving deed! Now squeaky clean, do they play. Such loving words does the Mother convey, as the warmth of the milk fills the infant's belly. Eye to eye, cheek to cheek, their hearts are as one, as the Mother plays with her infant's feet.
Now clean, and full, and with love in her heart, the little one sleeps not afraid of the dark!
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when away she took ache?
The toddler stood, as if by chance, at her Mother, did she glance. One step, two step, three steps no more, down with a ka-plop, now alone on the floor. Her little face soured, and a cry did she wail! Her Mother knelt steps before her, and called to her daughter as she put out her wide open arms. "Come here", said she, "it will be alright"! The toddler stopped crying, and stood in a flash, one step, two step, three steps and more! Rewarded by the Mother with the love in her hug, the toddler delighted and pointed to the rug. Down was she put and away did she run, all the while did both have some fun!
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when encouraging her dash?
The first day of school came within like a flash, fearful and scared the little girl cried as she said with a shout; "I don't want to go!" Her Mother sat her down, and together did they talk, she told her daughter of all the wonderful things she would be doing in school; learning, playing, coloring, making friends, and wearing her new dresses. Her Mother suggested her daughter pick the first dress, a pretty pink and white one did she like the best. They dressed her, and brushed out her hair, got all her new school things from off the front stair. Together they walked and for the bus did they wait. Into the bus with such a nice grin, no longer could she wait for school to begin!
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when loving a book?
The teenage daughter with blood on her clothes, sought out her Mother, and asked what caused this? Alarmed and scared of something gone wrong, the teenage daughter listened intently as her Mother took away her fear, and proceeded to explain what happens monthly, year after year.
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when removing fear and explaining that which will be monthly, year after year?
Away in college in some other state, excited and confused about another date, she calls her Mother for advice and "how long to wait" ("not before you are married should you jump in the sack"), "just be careful, and do that which is right". Her Mother reminds her of all they have said, encourages her to make her decisions from within mind and heart, and tells her she trusts her and that which she does! Learned, confident, empowered is she, such beauty, such grace, so happy is she!
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when listening and learning that which is said, and offering suggestions from within her heart?
Soon the day came, when her daughter will wed, panic and confused her daughter KA-PLOPS to the floor. Her face soured as she began to cry! Her Mother knelt before as her as her daughter's life flashed forward within her minds eye, from the time of a toddler until this grand day, "Come here" said she, "it'll be alright"! Her daughter stopped crying, and stood in a flash, and together now in laughter did both make the grand dash!
Are not the hands of such a Mother, HEALING HANDS when love and laughter are near one and the same? And if all this be so, has not GOD'S HEALING HAND been at work as well?
DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, DARE TO BE TRUE, DARE TO BE BOLD, DARE TO BE YOU! WE are all significant, each and every one. WE all have HEALING HANDS if WE hear that which is within OUR heart and choose to use them! Shall WE begin?
