ARE NOT THE HANDS OF A COLLEGE STUDENT HEALING HANDS WHEN...

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they take the time after their lengthy trip from home, to remove the ache from their Parents / loved ones hearts by calling, to let them know they arrived at their destination, and that they are okay? That they are safe, in the place where they will live, and verify with whom they are with, the address, and how they can be contacted?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they introduce themselves to other as nervous and anxious newly arrived College Students, and talk of where they are both from, and what they intend to study?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they listen to the call from within their heart and pursue an education in that which they are passionate, to ensure such valuable and costly time and money is well spent, and in "their" best interest?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they refuse to make fun of any other student, refuse to participate in bullying, when they show by example that they have zero tolerance for others who act in such manner?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when the participate reasonably within their college community assisting in and with promoting their heart-felt beliefs, ideas, and capabilities that will assist others in some form or fashion?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they are strong enough to voice their opinion and be heard, especially if there is a need or desire to "JUST SAY NO" for themselves or another in such need? When they refuse to let a drunk drive?  When they demand someone not text or talk on a hand held device while driving?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they reach out to those who are weak, those who lack confidence, those who are in need of assistance, and they help reasonably (not forgetting where they are and why they are there to begin with)?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they live within their means so as not to burden themselves and /or others needlessly? When they do their best with the resources available, and appreciate the blessings they are fortunate to have?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they approach their academic work as aggressively as if it was their job (for it is), and do the best that they are capable of doing so as not to waste that which is within them?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when friendships are made that will sometimes last their lifetime, through ups and downs, good times and bad? Maybe, even "for better or worse" (marriage)?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when they remember FAMILY and friend in other places and reach out to them if just to say "Hi" in one form or another, so they too can share in such an experience?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when FAMILY and Friend, so well loved, are kept informed and confided in through good times and bad times, allowing them opportunity to be of assistance if and when need be?

Are not the hands of a College Student HEALING HANDS when once again before FAMILY and Friend are they met with DIPLOMA in hand, ready, willing, and now able to do that which had called them from within their heart? Confident, empowered, with knowledge, know-how, positive attitude, FAITH, and BELIEF that OUR World will be a better place for them participating in it?

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, DARE TO BE TRUE, DARE TO BE BOLD, DARE TO BE YOU! For YOU are significant, as are WE all! WE all have HANDS that can HEAL if WE hear that which calls from within OUR heart and choose to listen! Shall WE begin?
